PokerStars Players in Southern Europe and Italy to Receive COOP Action; Special Sunday Million Scheduled

The Championship of Online Poker (COOP) has become one of the most recognizable names in online poker, and more competition is forthcoming. Southern European and Italian poker players will once again be able to participate in a COOP series including large tournaments thanks to PokerStars.

The SECOOP and ICOOP tournament series promise about €14.5 million in prizes. The events continue from October 30 to November 20, with approximately €9 million in South Europe and €5.5 million in Italy guaranteed.

The calendar also features a Sunday Million tournament with extra value in the hundreds of dollars.

The Special PokerStars Sunday Million has been added to the SECOOP and ICOOP

Due to the postponement of the Galactic Series Main Events as a result of the recent PokerStars DDoS attacks, the business has added a special edition Sunday Million event to the COOP series on November 6. Each event has a €1 million guaranteed prize pool.

Direct entry into the action may be purchased for €250. Special SECOOP Spin & Go tournaments and satellites that reward tickets start at only €3 each. The Sunday Million additionally contains €147,000 and €165,000 in added value satellites in SECOOP and ICOOP, respectively.

“As with our WCOOP 2022: Take 2 events, we wanted to ensure our Southern European and Italian community also have the chance to take to the tables and play for a coveted title,” PokerStars director of online poker experience Chris Straghalissaid in a news release.

“The Sunday Million is one of our most prestigious tournaments and due to the Galactic Series cancellations, we’ve added thousands in added value satellites to give players plenty of ways to enjoy the Sunday Million and the SECOOP and ICOOP series.”

Both series conclude on November 20 with the Main Events. This includes a guarantee of €400,000 for Southern Europe and €150,000 for Italy.
