Four of a kind, also called “quads,” is a five-card poker hand that is made up of four cards with the same rank. For example, you have four kings in your hand, or if you are using a joker (wild card), you have three kings and a joker. In most poker games, four kings is almost the best hand you can have. However, even with four kings, you are not always guaranteed to win.
Quads are very hard to get at the beginning of the game, so most players start getting them when they have at least two cards of the same rank. After that, they try to get the third and fourth cards. If a player has four of a kind, they almost always win. However, a straight flush is the only hand that can beat quads. Quads, on the other hand, are very hard to get, especially in Texas Hold’em. It’s also important to remember that the odds of getting a four-of-a-kind hand go down when the wild card is played. When the Joker is on the deck, it’s much easier to get quads.
But what happens when two people get four of a kind? Of course, the situation is almost impossible. But there is also a rule for this time. In this case, the winner will be the player with the most quads. For instance, 4 Queens are better than 4 Jacks. But if two players get the same four cards, they can think they’re very lucky (or unlucky) and share the spot.
